Thanks to all that made this past year at Bowmanville Nursery School such a great time for all of the children. This includes the parents, teachers and the Lions.
There will be lots of exciting new things happening with the school over the next couple of months, and everyone is looking forward to another great year starting September. Feel free to contact the school and register for September, as this ensures the spot you want for your child.

Fun Day – Graduation will be the last day of school. Come and celebrate the end of a terrific school year! Everyone is welcome, but please note that a parent or family member must be present and responsible for any siblings. If a parent or family member is unable to attend please let the school know in advance. Juice will be supplied, and you’re welcome to bring snacks if you like.

- Ceremony for M/W children will be from 9:30 to 11:30. Please arrive by 9:30.
- Ceremony for T/T children will be from 1:00 to 3:00. Please arrive by 1:00.
UPDATE: Many thanks to all the parents, teachers, Lions, and the community for supporting the school through donations and purchases! We raised nearly $300 for the school!
There will be a garage sale in support of the nursery school this Saturday, June 13th from 8am to 12am. It will be located at the nursery school, so check the contact page for location and directions.
If you have any items you can donate to the school you can drop them off on Friday at the auditorium of the Beech Centre from 12pm-430pm only. Otherwise you can bring them directly to the the nursery school or to the garage sale on Saturday. If possible, please label the items with a price you think is fair.

April is here, and that means a new field trip and school pictures!
Field Trip: Bowmanville Creek
Wednesday April 22nd and Thursday April 23rd
Please contact the school or refer to the newsletter for pickup and drop-off locations. We will walk along the pathway, stop along the way and have our snack. Please Dress appropriately for the weather. We hope to see some fish jumping!
If you are not able to attend the field trip please call Kerri so that we are not waiting for you.
School Pictures
Wednesday April 29th and Thursday April 30th
We have a new photographer this year and she has asked all the famililes who would like a childs individual photograph taken that they pay up front a sitting fee of $5.00. Please have you childs name and exact change in an envelope and bring it to the school. All children will be in the class photograph.
The nursery school will be closed next week during March Break – March 16-20. School will resume on Monday, March 23th.
Registrations for the 2009-2010 school year will also start on the 23rd. Please spread the word! If you have any questions please let us know at the school.

On Wednesday, January 28th and Thursday, January 29th there will be a winter walk for the children of both the AM and PM classes. We will be ending the walk with a winter picnic of warm hot chocolate and special treat at the nursery school.
Please dress your little ones appropriately for the weather!

As part of the fundraising initiatives by the Nursery School Parent Council we are going to be offering photos with Santa! This is the same Santa that the school uses for the Christmas concert. He is very good with children had grows his own white beard!
Bring your children on Saturday, November 22nd between 9am and 12pm.
Cost will be $15 per pose that include 1 5×7 and 4 wallets two 5×7’s.
Hot chocolate and candy canes will be available.

Wednesday, November 12th and Thursday, November 13th
Both the AM and PM classes will be walking to the cenotaph at Town Hall to see all the wreaths laid there to remember the soldiers.
Be sure to dress your children appropriately!
On Wednesday, October 29th and Thursday, October 31st children can wear their Halloween costumes to school. Treats for treatbags would be appreciated.
Full time children do not feel obligated to dress up for both days or supply treats for both days.
No homemade treats please, due to Health Regulations and our Peanut/Nut-free environment.
