Due to a number of scheduling conflicts at the Beech centre, our Christmas concert is tomorrow Thursday December 17 at 6:30 -8:30 pm at the Bowmanville High School.
There is a special event at the Beech Centre (where the nursery school is located) this year! It is an open house for the Lions Club this Sunday the 13th from 12 noon to 3 p.m
There will be singing under the direction of Ross Metcalfe, BBQ by the Lions Chefs, baked goods and drinks supplied by the Older Adults, plus of course two reindeer and a baby lion cub from the Bowmanville Zoo, a sleigh with Santa, three elves and a photographer to take pictures.
It is free of charge we only ask that you bring a non perishable item for the Clarington Food Banks.
On Saturday November 28th between 9am – 12pm you can have your picture with Santa! Please invite your friends and family.
The cost $15 per package will include 2 5×7 portraits and your picture emailed to you. There will be juice and a treat for the kids.
All proceeds will go back to the Nursery School with a portion being donated to Sick Kids Hospital. Even though the school will be closing in June. We will make sure the money goes back to the students making their last year an extra special one!

You have likely already heard the news of the school closing next year. This is very unfortunate news and we’re all saddened to see an institution as wonderful as this one close its doors.
We want to reassure you, however, that the school will remain open for the rest of the school year, and its business as usual. We have assurances from the Lions club and the school administrator of this fact.

On Thursday, October 22nd between 6pm and 8pm there will be an Open House at the school. Parents who are interested in enrolling their children with the school, or current parents with children at the school are invited to come out and meet the teachers and some of the parent council members.
Your children are more than welcome to come and meet the teachers as well, and discover all of the great things the school has to offer.

A former parent at the nursery school has generously donated a spot to allow a child to join the nursery school for a month. If you have a child you would like to bring to the nursery school free of charge for a month please give us a call or email us.
This is a great opportunity to expreience the great program the teachers have put together this year, so act fast because once it’s gone, it’s gone!

This Saturday, August 29th there will be a BBQ at the school, starting at 1130am. This is an opportunity for both new and returning parents to come with their little ones to the school for some pre-school-year fun! The teachers as well as members of the Lion’s and the parent council will be in attendance. We will be reviewing the parking situation as well to ensure that the school year starts off without a hitch.

Just wanted to let everyone out there looking for the registration package that it’s been temporarily removed restored and placed on the ‘Programs‘ page. There were some changes that needed to be made to it, and it will be back again shortly it’s back again.
In the interim you can call the school and let them know what spot you are interested in for September. You can also email us informing the school of your interest, and we can let you know when the registration package is back online.

Some exciting news for the nursery school!
Starting in September the teachers will begin a Junior Kindergarten readiness program called ‘JK Jump Start’. It will be for the Monday/Wednesday class, and children must be 3 years old.
